Head Coach
Jack Thompson

Coach Jack will be entering his 6th year coaching Grizzly Sports, as well as 6th year of teaching Elementary Physical Education. As a Ponte Vedra/Jacksonville native, Coach Jack grew up playing a plethora of sports such as football, baseball, soccer, golf and lacrosse. In fact, Coach Jack had the benefit of playing High School sports under Global Athletic Director, Gene Baker. Coach Jack is an alumnus of Florida State University and is passionate about sports and education. At Global, Coach Jack has achieved an impressive win/loss record of 64-18 over 5 seasons of Flag Football and Soccer, most recently leading the 2025 Football team to the NFSA playoffs and the Boys Soccer team to league championships in 2023. 2024, and 2025. He will look to continue to help build the foundation for a top tier athletic program.

GRIZZLY GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL

Tanesha Galloway

Tanesha Galloway joins the Global coaching staff as the inaugural coach of the Grizzly Girls Flag Football team. Coach T is a Marine Corps veteran and has played multiple sports her entire life, including flag football and basketball. Coaching these sports has allowed her to share her passion and experience while mentoring young athletes. She truly enjoys teaching, not just the skills of the game, but also the values of teamwork, discipline, and confidence that sports can build. Helping kids grow and succeed through sports is something to which she’s deeply committed. Coach T is excited to have the opportunity to coach and make a positive impact in as many Grizzly lives as possible.

GRIZZLY GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Asriel Brocard

Coach Brocard has been on the Global coaching staff for 6 years, leading Grizzly Girls Volleyball to multiple championship seasons. From 2023-25 he served as the Kodiak Varsity Boys Volleyball Head Coach leading that program to the first FHSAA Region Tournament victory in the history of Global Athletics. He has also coached Girls Soccer at both the Grizzly and Kodiak Campuses. Coach Brocard's Grizzly girls were undefeated NFSA North Division Champions in 2022, and have completed the three-peat as undefeated NFSA League Champions in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The Grizzlies have won 66 of their last 67 volleyball matches and are currently riding a 52 game winning streak.

Coach Sarah Martinez is in her fifth year of teaching at Global and proudly leads the Grizzlies cheer team. With a background in youth cheer coaching through Mayport Naval MWR’s Youth Program and years of experience as a cheerleader herself in high school, she brings energy, passion, and school spirit to everything she does. Her goal is to help her team grow in confidence, teamwork, and pride—on and off the field. Outside of school, Coach Martinez is a busy mom of five, juggling family life with her love for teaching and coaching. Her experience as both a parent and educator helps her connect with students and athletes in a meaningful, supportive way. She’s all about creating a positive environment where kids feel encouraged, empowered, and ready to shine. Go Grizzlies!
