Jack Thompson

Coach Jack will be entering his 5th year coaching Grizzly Sports, as well as 5th year of teaching Elementary Physical Education. As a Ponte Vedra/Jacksonville native, Coach Jack grew up playing a plethora of sports such as football, baseball, soccer, golf and lacrosse. In fact, Coach Jack had the benefit of playing High School sports under GOCA’s current athletic director, Gene Baker. Coach Jack is an alumnus of Florida State University and is passionate about sports and education. At Global Outreach, Coach Jack has achieved an impressive win/loss record of 48-9 over 2 seasons of Flag Football and Soccer, most recently leading the 2023 soccer team to their first league championship in 6 years. He will look to continue to help build the foundation for a top tier athletic program.

GRIZZLY GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL

Tanesha Galloway

Tanesha Galloway joins the Global coaching staff as the inaugural coach of the Grizzly Girls Flag Football team. Coach T is a Marine Corps veteran and has played multiple sports her entire life, including flag football and basketball. Coaching these sports has allowed her to share her passion and experience while mentoring young athletes. She truly enjoys teaching, not just the skills of the game, but also the values of teamwork, discipline, and confidence that sports can build. Helping kids grow and succeed through sports is something to which she’s deeply committed. Coach T is excited to have the opportunity to coach and make a positive impact in as many Grizzly lives as possible.

GRIZZLY GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Asriel Brocard

Coach Brocard has been on the GOCA coaching staff for 4 years, leading the Grizzly Girls Volleyball to multiple championship seasons. In 2023 he served as the Kodiak Varsity Boys Volleyball Head Coach in their inaugural season notching their first wins in the history of the program. He has also coached Girls Soccer at both the Grizzly and Kodiak Campuses. Coach Brocard's Grizzly girls were undefeated NFSA North Division Champions in 2022, and completed the 2023 season as undefeated NFSA League Champions

Billy Barnwell

Billy Barnwell is a professional basketball trainer with more than twenty years of training experience. He is currently a club coach for River City Hoops and helps oversee the culture and skill development for the entire program. He uses his methods to enhance every aspect of the lives he touches. Coach Barnwell's personal pursuit is one that allows for everyone to use basketball as an outlet for joy, development, competition, social unity, and personal validation. He knows that no matter what reason YOU want to play or practice the game, that reason is POWERFUL, because it’s yours. That individual choice is something to be nurtured and honored in the biggest way.
