Desiree Scott is entering her second-year coaching with Global having led the 2022 Kodiaks to a 9-4 record in their first season of provisional FHSAA membership. She has a strong background in volleyball, having played under top-level coaches and competing at a high level. Along with her playing experience, she has coached at both the high school and club level, focusing on developing fundamentals, confidence, and teamwork in her athletes. A Jacksonville native, she is excited to continue building the program and helping young athletes reach their potential on and off the court.

Amanda Holloway

Amanda Holloway is thrilled to be stepping up to the head coach position for Global Cross Country this year. With 2 seasons as assistant coach under her belt, she is still learning and enjoys running with the team even more. Coach Holloway races competitively on weekends and boasts over a dozen first place plaques for personal races from 5ks and 10ks. She placed in the top 10 percent in the Gate River Run and crossed the finish line of her first half marathon last year in 2024.
Holloway heads the Visual Arts department at Global Leadership High School teaching AP Art in 2D, 3D, and Photography. She received her first Bachelor's degree in Photography in Philadelphia before working for the Conservation Corps out west, and returning for her Post-Bacc in Art Education from the University of Montana. She is still a practicing photographer and exhibiting artist who loves running, traveling, and spending time with her family here in Jacksonville.

Oakton College 2-time Illinois Skyway Conference and All-Region player, Region IV tournament MVP Illinois Skyway Conference Hall of Fame;
Bellevue University- Team captain, All-MCAC conference first team;
5-time National Champion, 2x All star Team captain Jacksonville Giants;
Former Head coach of the Jacksonville Giants;
Current Head Coach of the Jacksonville 95ers (TBL);
Love coaching at GOCA because of the students.

Madyson Ratliff

Madyson Ratliff is a dedicated basketball coach with a deep passion for the game, shaped by a lifetime of experience both on and off the court. Playing basketball since the age of five, Madyson's love for the sport has been a constant throughout her life. Her natural talent and relentless work ethic led her to earn a full-ride scholarship offer to play at the collegiate level. However, Madyson chose a different path, enlisting in the Marine Corps, where she served with honor and commitment.
After completing her military service, Madyson transitioned into coaching, bringing her invaluable leadership skills, discipline, and strategic knowledge to the court. With 7 years of coaching experience, she has helped develop young athletes not only in basketball techniques but also in character and teamwork. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, perseverance, and creating an environment where players can thrive both as athletes and individuals.
Madyson’s background in both athletics and military service gives her a unique perspective on discipline, teamwork, and leadership. She is committed to building strong, competitive teams while fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and growth.

Carmen Morales has coached both boys and girls soccer teams for over twenty years at four different Jacksonville high schools. Certified by the National Youth Soccer Association, she has also coached travel teams for several years with Jacksonville Futbol Club (JFC). Her Bachelors Degree is in Sports Medicine and she is currently head of the Biology Department at GOCA. Coach Morales is a Puerto Rico native, but has called Jacksonville home since the early 1970s. She has also coached her two sons, and loves spending time on a home-made agility course with her five Border Collies.

Caroline Casey enters her third year of coaching at Global Leadership Academy. She has 7 years of competitive cheerleading experience, both on a Varsity and Collegiate level and has a true love for the sport. She is able to have an on campus presence as teacher, department chair and club sponsor.
Her coaching philosophy centers around fostering teamwork, resilience, and personal growth. She believes in not only developing physical skills but also instilling a strong sense of discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship in each team member. She is committed to helping every athlete reach their full potential, both as a cheerleader and as an individual.

Coach Brocard has been on the GOCA coaching staff for 4 years, leading the Grizzly Girls Volleyball to multiple championship seasons. In 2023 he served as the Kodiak Varsity Boys Volleyball Head Coach in their inaugural season notching their first wins in the history of the program. He has also coached Girls Soccer at both the Grizzly and Kodiak Campuses. Coach Brocard's Grizzly girls were undefeated NFSA North Division Champions in 2022, and completed the 2023 season as undefeated NFSA League Champions
